Terms

The agreement, in plain words.

Last updated 15 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Stepmade for the use of LinkPier. By creating an account you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a brokerage, you are confirming you can bind it.

We have tried to write these the way we write everything else here. Where a clause limits what you can expect from us, it says so directly rather than at the bottom in capitals.

1. What the service is

LinkPier hosts a public page for a real estate agent at linkpier.com/your-name, with sections for a profile, listings, recent sales, reviews, service areas, links, a video and a contact form, plus a dashboard for managing them and seeing how the page performs.

We host it and keep it running. We are not a brokerage, not a multiple listing service, and not a party to any transaction that comes out of your page.

2. Your account

You need to be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.

Your username is yours while your account is active. Some names are reserved because they collide with parts of the site. We may reclaim a username that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or was registered to resell, and we will tell you why.

3. Trial, price and cancellation

  • The subscription is $29 per month. Early accounts get a founding rate of $19 per month.
  • Every account starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is required to begin it. We charge nothing during the trial.
  • Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged at all. Cancel afterwards and you keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part-months.
  • The founding rate is tied to a continuous subscription. If you cancel, it does not come back — restarting later means the standard rate.
  • If a payment fails, your account keeps working until the period you paid for runs out, while the card is retried. We do not switch your contact form off the hour a card expires.
  • We can change the price. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email before it applies to them, and can cancel in that time.

Payments are processed by Stripe under its own terms. Taxes are yours unless we are required to collect them.

4. Your content

Everything you publish stays yours. Your photographs, copy, listings, sales history and reviews are your property and we claim no ownership of them.

To host them we need your permission to do the obvious things: storing, reproducing, resizing and displaying your content, on your page and in search-engine previews and social cards for it. That permission is worldwide and royalty-free because the web is, it exists only to run the service, and it ends when you delete the content or your account — except for backups already taken, which age out on their normal cycle.

You confirm you have the right to publish what you upload. That matters most for listing photographs, which frequently belong to a photographer or a brokerage rather than to the agent, and for reviews, which must be things a real client actually said.

5. Real estate obligations are yours

This is the part that is specific to what LinkPierdoes. Your page makes public, indexable claims about your licence, your sales record and your clients' opinions. Complying with the rules that govern those claims is your responsibility, not ours. In particular:

  • Displaying your licence number and brokerage affiliation wherever your state or your brokerage requires it.
  • Fair housing law. Your service areas, specialties and biography must not steer, exclude or imply a preference on any protected basis.
  • MLS and brokerage rules on what listing data may be republished, including attribution and how quickly a sold or withdrawn listing must come down.
  • The accuracy of your sales figures and statistics. The three numbers on your profile are typed by you and we do not verify them.
  • Consent for testimonials, and truthfulness in advertising generally.

The import tool reads a public listing page you point it at and fills in what it can. It is a convenience and it is often wrong — you are responsible for checking every field before it goes on your page, and for having the right to republish what it found.

6. What you may not do

  • Publish anything unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or infringing someone's rights.
  • Impersonate another agent or brokerage, or misrepresent your licence.
  • Post reviews that were not written by real clients, or edit a review so it says something the client did not say.
  • Use enquiries you receive for anything other than responding to that person, or add them to a marketing list without their consent.
  • Attack, overload or probe the service, scrape it at scale, or work around rate limits and access controls.
  • Resell the service or run someone else's page as your own.

7. Enquiries you receive

When someone fills in your contact form, that information is collected for you. You are the controller of it and you are responsible for handling it lawfully — including responding to requests for access or deletion. We hold it on your behalf, as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep LinkPier available and we work on it continuously, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime figure and it would be dishonest to publish one we have not measured. Maintenance, outages and provider failures happen.

Support is by the form inside the app, and by legal@linkpier.com for account and billing matters.

9. Ending it

You can cancel or delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting it removes your page, your content and the enquiries stored against it, and that cannot be undone.

If you simply stop paying, your public page stays online at the same link. The paid features in the dashboard stop; the page a client has bookmarked or printed on a sign does not disappear. We reserve the right to change that in future, and if we do we will give account holders notice first.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 5 or 6, or where we are required to. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will give you notice and a chance to put it right.

10. Warranties and liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that your page will generate business.

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost business. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

You agree to cover us against claims arising from what you published or from your breach of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and for anything that materially affects your rights or what you pay we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use LinkPier after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you do not, cancel before then.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes go to the state and federal courts located in California.

This does not take away rights you have where you live. If you are a consumer in a place whose law gives you rights that cannot be waived by agreement — including in the EU, the UK and a number of US states — those rights still apply and this clause applies only so far as local law permits.

If a clause is unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about LinkPier.
